This morning I have started a part time job in Tampere city center. Its a metro newspaper distribution job. Everyday 3 hours - from 0700 to 1000 and 5 days a week. The place is in front of a shopping mall. There are 2 bus stops as well. So many people pass by that place in the morning. My task is to offer them newspaper. The newspaper was totally free. My responsibility is to distribute 500 newspapers everyday.
The first day's experience was good. Today the newspaper company gave 200 small packets of cornflakes to give the first 200 people. I found finnish people are so eager to take free things :P the first 200 papers finished within 30 minutes while the rest 300 papers needed 100 mins to be distributed. The company gave a nice white full sleeve shirt today. I think that will fit me very well :D There is a jacket that I have to wear while doing this work. The color is so bright, it will pock your eyes. When I wear that I am glowing and may be you will be able to see me even if you go to the moon :D
I found that basically older people are the main customers of this free newspaper. They took it so eagerly. In case of younger people if you just offer them with a nice smile in your face they usually don't deny to take one. So distributing it is not that much difficult. The only problem is the cold weather. When I started today it was +5 C and that made my palms and face very cold. So how about when it will be -20 C ?? :-S I think I need some real good warm cloths at that time.
The bottom line is I liked the job. Its not so tiring and the duration is not so long. In fact its finished within 2 hours and 15 minutes. I found the work interesting. Its a new experience for me :)

Good Job :P
Whats the pay, anyway?!
ah real nice one to hear .. but why dint u upload some glossy pics of urs .. we r on the earth; it does not mean that we dont wanna see..:D
Rafi, the pay is 8.77 euro per hour. Not bad huh ;)
Ankan vi, I also wanted to post some of my pictures in that eye pocking dress but I had nobody else around me to take a shot while I do the work. I think its not so nice to stop an office going finnish girl and ask her to shot my pics :)
hahaha :D better u stop her and take a cool picture of her;
That was a joke :D I won't ask any Finnish girl to take my picture while working.
dont try to cover up :D you are dhora...
mmm... dhora means 'caught in red handed' :P
Do you use any bangla word while you are annoyed to any kind of situation there?
Yea, sometimes I do use some Bangla words(not Bangla bad words, just normal words) when annoyed somehow but always in a very low voice so that nobody will hear it and then thinks that I am saying bad words to them in my native language.
sabash eamon.
nice to hear the good news.
nice to hear the payment.

Jotil obostha to Eamon. Darun hoise... Vola, Kalid, Tasnim, Tunnu.... Sobar comment er combination ta darun hoise.
If eamon give me permission, I can translate for her. ;-)
Ok ok... I think I have to stop it now.
At first Tasnim asked me to send them money to have my birthday party. I used to give them treat on my birthday and this year I am not in Bangladesh and he asked me to that.
After this comment Khalid asked if there nobody to ask the meaning of Tasnim's comment. He is very smart. He knows what happened when they ask about missing my birthday party. Liz suggested them to have it in advance grrrrrrrrrrrrr. Khalid thought if she heard what Tasnim told in his comment then may be she will tell me to send the money to them to have my birthday party. So I said in my comment that its better if she wont ask about Tasnim's comment because may be she will really suggest me to send the money and that will cause me some extra expenditure :D ;)
After that Liz wanted to know about it eagerly and Razib was so happy to see that. Showing his 32 teeth he commented again in Bangla telling "yesssss... yessssss... at last she wanted to hear what it is".
What Tunnu was asking in his comment is if I am distributing the paper like the ones doing in Dhaka in the street and offer the newspaper through the window of the bus :D mmm... to Tunnu!!! There is a basic difference between them and me. Their newspapers are not free. You have to buy those with the money from your own pocket while mine are totally free :D Anybody can take newspaper from me without paying a single cent to me.
Then Razib commented in Bangla again. He was telling great situation. The combination of those people's comment is really great.
So that's it. All the comments are clear now. And to tell Tasnim!!! Sorry, I cant send anything to you to have party on my birthday. But I am inviting all of you to come to my home in Tampere to attend the birthday party. Hopefully that will be the eid day as well here. I cant assure you guys and transportation. You have to manage it of your own :)
Ahhh.. eamon that was so funny huh? no one didnt understand what was happening, I mean at my very first comment right after tasnim's. Anyway we are gonna miss our one regular party. :(
eamon,
did i invite all of u to go sylhet when i was in sylhet on the 23rd April,my birth day.You gave me the proposal and i agreed without any delay. Now its your turn Netaji..:D

In absence of u, we r now guideline less. So, pls dont demoralise us.
...tomar neta amar neta eamon eamon
So Its getting colder and colder.
How are you dealing with the situation, im still waiting for your post about your first contact with snow. Then perhaps you can go ice swimming (popular in Sweden and Finnland).

Yes Jonas, its getting colder and colder. Till now I am dealing with it well. I am not having much difficulties yet :)
Of course I will write about my first experience with snow.
I just saw the link that you gave me here. I think I wont be able to do that ice swimming though its popular in this region. I will freeze doing that :P
