Eidul Azha

Yesterday was Eidul Azha, the Eid of both sacrifice and joy. I took some pictures and wanna share with you. Those who are uneasy with blood please avoid this post; you may not like the gross things shown in some pictures.





This is our bull that we bought the day before yesterday to sacrifice on the Eid day





The butcher(they are not professional. They are low paid labors throughout the year who become butchers at the time of Eidul Azha) started their work to get the bull down.





They tied the front legs of the bull





The bull is down now





All the legs are tied together and people hold the bull with all their strength. The man(hujur or imam) with long knife is ready.





And he gave his first slash in the throat





The man has done his job and we were hearing the roar of the bull





Here goes another one just beside ours





And so many :(





I am sitting there to help them to manage the flesh of the bull





That is my hand at that time





Looks too tired because of the hardships


I have taken more pictures of the day while strolling around after the eid prayer but I am not sharing those here. May be you people will feel sick.
