An unexpected farewell

One month back I have changed my job. Right now I am working in Bording Vista Ltd and before this one I have been working for Documenta TM Ltd for 9 months. On 31st October I left Documenta silently I mean without giving any kind of headache to anybody in Documenta. Frankly speaking I was very sad when I saw that I am leaving and nobody bothers about it.


Just after one month, another employee named Sadia left documenta. She was my co-worker for all those 9 months. One day, before her leaving, I was happened to talk with Polin vi(another employee of Documeta and was also my co-worker) over the internet and at that time I told him to arrange a farewell for Sadia apu for if you happen to leave and see that nobody bothers at the time of your departure it will be a great agony for you. you will be sad obviously.Finally Polin vi arranged a farewell for Sadia apu and called me on 28 October to attend the farewell in the evening after the office hour. I agreed to go there and there lies the surprise for me.


After my arrival in Documenta everyone went to the conference room and sit there. For my amazement they announce my name and gave me a bunch of flower and a gift box. I really became a bit red at that time. It was really unexpected to me. I went there to attend Sadia apu's farewell and I didn't even think in my dream that they would arrange something for me too. I also told them that I am really surprised as I didn't have any goddamn idea about it. After me they gave Sadia apu a bunch of flower and a gift box too. Her box was much bigger than mine was :-S mmm... may be they like Sadia apu more than me. She was the only female employee of Documenta hahahaha.


I really became very happy and at the same time very glad. The sad feeling while leaving Documenta was gone totally. Thank you Polin vi... Thaks Documenta :)

My blog is on the first page of google search :P

I think you people became amazed to see the title of this post. But it's true if you enter "IELTS registration" in google search engine :) This afternoon I tried it and my blog came on the first page, at 5th position, of google search result :)


Here is the background. Few days back I received a comment on that particular post from an unknown person. I was thinking how did he/she get my blog address. This afternoon I googled about it. I was entering different things related to IELTS. When I entered IELTS registration I got my page on the first page. Then I looked at my blog and found that the title of that post is exactly "IELTS registration" :D So what? I am still happy to see my blog on the first page of google search result :P

ahhh... The IELTS exam is over :D

Today I have appeared in my speaking test of IELTS exam that I missed earlier. This test was also moderate I think.


Before going to the center I was a bit nervous but as I entered the room, where my test was taken, I saw a middle aged lady sitting there and I thought "Ohhh... she is not here to kill me; I have to talk to her and nothing else". So I just talked to her almost for 20 minutes. I don't know how she will evaluate me (I am not worried about that :P ) but the thing is I did better than my expectation :)


At the end of my test she thanked me and switched the voice recorder off. I asked her if I could ask one question. She allowed me and I asked how my test was :P She laughed hearing my question and told me "I can't tell that now. You can ask me anything except that question". Right at that moment another question came into my mind but I didn't ask that as it wouldn't be gentle at all :P So thanking her I just left the test center :)


So... my IELTS exam is totally over now. Its a bad feeling to have an exam like that ahead of you. I am feeling good as it's over :) ohh... don't forget to wish me one more time - this time for getting a good score :D

I have appeared in IELTS exam

Yesterday I have appeared in the pen and paper part of IELTS exam. The exam was a moderate one I think-not so good or not so bad. But the amazing thing is I missed to attend my scheduled speaking test. yea, it's true, I really missed it. The British Council was supposed to inform me through sms before the speaking test but I didn't get any from them and I missed it when it was scheduled on 16 November.

Yesterday(17 November) morning I went to the office of British Council to know my exam schedule. The front desk girl was amazed to hear that I didn't know it yet. She was looking at me with a strange look and giving me the schedule for that day. When I asked about my speaking test she checked it out and informed me that it was on the previous day. I said "Good... what can I do now?". May be she was a bit astonished seeing my reaction(I was smiling while asking that :P). But she gave me her assistance. With another strange look she called to the higher authority and gave me the phone to talk to that guy. I talked to the guy and told him what happened actually. His voice was a bit annoyed. May be he was thinking "ohhh... this damn pastoral guys... always creat some kinda problems" but finally he gave me another schedule for my speaking test and that is 19 of this month :D


So among the 4 parts fo IELTS exam I still have to appear in 1 that I had missed firstly :P and as my english speaking capabilty is not so good wish me luck more this time :)

Chicken in the bus :D

There were some chickens inside the bus while I was coming to office this morning. Uhu... don't think that today I took a typical local bus of Dhaka for my ride. It was a bus having counter and ticket(though its not very good but much better than the typical local bus). The thing is that there was a guy who had near about 20 chickens(legs are tied together) in his hand and he got in the bus taking those along with him. The conductor also did nt prohibit him doing that.


When he got in the bus people became so annoyed and some got very angry. Everyone disallowed that guy to stand beside his seat. Ohh, at that time there was no seat available in the bus. The man was coming to the back side of the bus as he was disallowed by everybody and for my grief I was at the corner of the last seat of the bus :( :( :( He put his chickens within my two feet range and stood on the aisle. Within few minutes I found myself smelling something very stinking. Good that I don't have vomiting tendency with stinking thing otherwise it would be a very bad day for me.


People were so annoyed by that person. They were even shouting to him. I did nt do anything without feeling something weird. I was just sitting in my seat and counting down to get my office and finally the weird journey ended after being in that weird situation for 40 minutes.

Another gathering of CIT people

Last saturday we, CIT guys, had another gathering. This time the get together was arranged by the people who are in software industry and some other sectors but not in telecommunication or education. I am one from software industry. So I became one of the sponsors here.


The venue was again a restaurant as people are not interested in any kinda gathering without food. It was Xenial in Dhanmondi. We met around 6 pm in Mukto Mancho of Dhanmondi and went to the restaurant around 8 pm.


The food of our menu was really good except one item and that is sizzling beef. I did nt like that item here though it's one of my favorite items while taking dinner in restaurant. I strongly recomended not to take that item if anyone of you go to Xenial.


This time I could nt manage to take many pictures as I was a bit busy to look after the arrangement :P yet I am giving here two pictures just to get the view :)

A sudden tour to my village

On 20th of October I along with my immediate elder brother went to my village in Sirajganj. I have nt been there for a year. So we went there to visit our relatives. There was another reason but you people need not to know that I think :)


We took the 03:30 pm bus from Mohakhali bus station. There are only few airconditioned bus in our route and I got one of those :) It was a nice comfortable bus but a bit slow I don know why. It took 4 hours to reach Sirajganj town. We reached our village around 9 pm because there was another bus and a van(3 wheeler) ride to our village from the town.


The tour was for 1 day only. We returned home just on the next day. At the time of return it took less time because the bus was fast and it was not an airconditioned one. I think U will get a better view of my trip if you see some of the pictures during the trip :)

The beautiful sunset that I captured from the running bus. You are not getting even the 10% of the original beauty because I was at the right side window seat and the sun was on the left side at that time. So i took it while being in my seat and I had to zoom to kick out the seat of the person on the left side of the bus from my picture.





Our bus at the filling station called Machranga after the half way to Sirajganj. It was a short break for refreshing.






The next day morning... My aunt in laws are busy to prepare the Jhaler_pitha (home made spicy cake) for us.

My first day in BordingVista

Today on 1st November, 2007 I have joined my new job in the company named BordingVista. My first day was good here :)


The office hour starts at 9 am and I came at 09:05 am today, not too much late I think :) There were 10 new persons to join today. We were knowing each other and moving around because we were informed that the official welcome will be at 11 am. At 11 am our MD(Mr. jan) and GM(Mr. Nurul) took us to the canteen. They welcomed us and explained the rules and the practices that should be maintained in the office. Then Jan showed us the office premises. They emphasize on cleanliness so much. Everything is neat and clean though the decoration is not finished yet. They said hopefully it will be finished before the end of this month. After visiting the office we got our own pcs and own desks. I took the desk at one corner :) I fixed the pc and it ran well. The configuration of the pc is pretty good I think. Pentium D processor 3 GHz, 2 GB RAM, 160 GB hard drive and flat 17 inch desktop LCD monitor. After fixing the pc I went to lunch along with my friend Maroof and another new comer named Mijan.


After the lunch I was online for an hour may be. I was installing necessary softwares. Around 4 pm we had a social session in the canteen. The wife of Jan came and joined us over there. There was arrangement of cookies, coke, sprite and coffee. Most of the time Jan and Mr. nurul was talking. Some of the senior guys also contributed. They were just gossiping actually about informal things and tried to make fun as well but as a matter of fact those were not so funny :P We new comers were the listeners mostly :D It ended around 5 pm and I came here and now writing the post :) Do you people know what thing of thiks office impressed me much? The toilet :D :P I am not joking, yes its the toilet that impressed me much. Its so neat and clean, lots of tissue boxes are there, lots of small clean white rolled towels in the basket for one time use only. I really liked it :)


They said from sunday next we have to start our work here. I am waiting to see how it will be :)

Story like "Notebook" in real life

I think many of you have watched the movie "Notebook". Those who did nt try to watch it. Its a nice romantic movie with a nice story.


Few days back one of my very close friends told me about an event of her life. I found a great similarity between that story and the story of the movie Notebook. In the story of the movie the boy was poor and the family of the girl is very rich but in case of my friend's life it was just reversed. My friend's family was not a rich one and at the same time her family background was not good. There was a family lived near their house who were very rich. She(my friend) was a student of grade 4 at that time means 10 years old may be. There was a girl in that rich family same as her age. She used to paly with that girl. That girl had an elder brother who was older than my friend by 4 years. He also used to play with the girls. They were good friends to each other.


My friend did nt have any special feeling for that boy. She was too young to realize special feelings at that time. She thought of that boy just a good friend of her. At that time the rich family send their son to USA to study there and complete his graduation afterwards and then come back again. On the day of going to US the boy came to my friend and told "Take good care of yourself cause you have no other to take care of you, but i will be back and get my cinderella out of her misery". The cinderella was my friend but she did nt get it because she was too young then. My friend did nt know that the boy used to send her mails every week. His mom was taking those and not giving her. Then after 3 years he went back for vacation and my friend was first year high school then and he was in college. He went to her house and told her why she was not replying any of his mails. Until then they did nt knew that his mom was getting the mails and did nt give her. His mom told him right into my friend's face "She is no good how can you be with a girl with that kind of family even if she looks pretty and she grew up respectful. You can never deny her family background. How can you be proud of such a girl?". Then the boy went back to US but after few months he went back to his own country again but he was dead already. They said he got sick and his mom was blaming his death to my friend :(


I mentioned it earlier that my friend did nt have any special feeling for that boy. She did nt even know that the boy liked her that much but still now she sheds tears when she remember that event and she cant just help her tears while she is watching the movie "Notebook". Its one of her favorite movies.
